if this deserving site be grand central station for sojourners like us, where do you take the occasional train? in other words, where do you hang out for the caffeinated goods, as far as blogs, galleries and ideas?

i'm not soliciting competitors to this site (and, really, who would compete?) but more or less small-time recipe or writing sites driven by coffee.

i'll be up front: i just started a blog. but i'm not raising the subject to self promote, rather i'd like to get a flava for other places where the personal info and coffee writing is valued.

for instance: i found this place (a CG member, i believe) that gives off some pretty good vibes. others? who do you have bookmarked?

humblest apologies if this has come up before.

That's a phat blog and I think the creator's name is Jimmy.  It's a really clean blog and he coded it himself (very very nice job).  I have a blog too!! Infact, I have 2:

Espresso Journey: http://espressojourney.blogspot.com
Espresso Porn: http://www.espressoporn.com

The first is the one I really work on.  Check it out, I think it's a good read hehe =)  I have links on the right of other blogs and websites that would be a good read/view.  Malachi's blog is reallly good too: http://godshot.blogspot.com and he has a bunch of links as well of bloggers.

The best part about blogs is they are updated dailly usually, or at least weekly, so there's always something new.  With mine, I try to keep it short and include A LOT of pictures and TONS of links.

Blogs (other than the ones already mentioned):
bread coffee chocolate yoga - Fortune Elkins' awesome blog
Tonx.org - barista from Victrola (Seattle)
The First Crack - PODCAST - cool stuff!
Counter Culture Coffee - Not a pure-blog, but they have regular updates on many coffee-topics
Intelligentsia Coffee - ditto

News
Starbucks Gossip - Good stuff.  Informative.  (but don't be a playa hater)
CoffeeZap - GREAT news-feed thing... but not as good as...
the coffee-news updates on COFFEEGEEK!!!

Forums
eGullet.org Coffee section - Foodie site... they're slowly learning about coffee over there, thanks to Owen (phaelon56).

???
Macchinesti Coffee - from Japan... someone over there's been lurking on CG or the BGA boards... obviously!  I ain't Japanese, so I can't read it... but they've got pretty pictures.

Professional resources
Barista Guild of America - w00t!

It's not a blog, but I spend a lot of time over on the greencoffee co op.  I also help run the site.

I believe you are thinking of Paul Pratt's Espresso Restorations.

That is a really flashy site, definitely different.  When I say flashy I mean macromedia's FLASH software.
