Oh yes, and I have some of that Yemen too, now on the magic 4th day after the roast.

Good Gawd Y'all!! Can I get an Aaayyy-Men!!
this was from this morning. I made a machiatto and then another straight shot because this stuff is so freakin' yummy. As always, everyone's tastes are different, but this is one of MY favorite coffees.

funny thing about these beans. a bunch of us had a collection of cool roasters -- a hot top, an i-roast, etc. but my buddy had bought a popcorn popper on ebay for $2.75 (flea market tag still attached). but the thing had no top, and his beans kept jumping out. so he used a glass globe from a ceiling fan light fixture to top the thing off, along with a crude metal lid.
and his harrar is what you see here. taste-wise, we were agog. schmoaked us all. we were picking the flava flave profile apart the whole night (five hours of throwing down shots).

Ben, WOW! I don't care for the first pic, but that second shot is an incredible instant to catch. I love the variety of motion in it--the strand, the globules, and the splash, all at once. the last one is amazingly even. You've got a beautiful machine. I'm coveting a Tea at this point, mostly just because I love how the brew group protrudes, but also for how much nicer its features are. Silvia's working well, for now, though. :)

these particular cups are the bodum pavina tumblers -- large enough to make a latte or breve in after the shot. there are shots now up of the finished shot at my first pics page: http://ben.szobody.com/smackdown.html
i have more in the works, including shots of the full shot glasses (not tumblers) and completed milk beverages. stay tuned (i'll post updates to the blog).
E61brewski: what did the cup look like full? those are nice cups

After playing around with the grind and tamping I finally managed to get a smaller cone, as described by JonR. End result was a 1.5 oz in 25 seconds using a double. Looked and tasted "richer".
