Here is my setup. This is kind of a memorial though, since both the grinder and the machine have been sold to make room for my Mazzer and brand new Maver Marte (new e61 machine that hasn't hit the market yet). The Elektra setup has served me faithfully for 2 years and I doubt that my kitchen will ever be graced with a more beatiful pair (although my wife likes to refer to the machine as the sports trophy - blasphemy!)

Coffee leads men to trifle away their time, scald their chops, and spend their money, all for a little base, black, thick, nasty, bitter, stinking nauseous puddle water.  ~The Women's Petition Against Coffee, 1674

His clothes are a mess...

..but have you tried his coffee??

Seriously, very nice setup Jon.   There is no reason in this or any other universe that could convince my wife to allow me to do that...very jealous.

I like it Jon…..you can always steam your clothes clean :)

Fantastic setup….complete with the handy Vac on the wall!..............I still think you need more cups.

I think you have left Mega and Ultra geek status and have entered Quazy geekness.

see?

it seems his passion for the naked portafilter has developed into a desire to be the naked barista.

Just remember me when you start a tv home coffee show and start selling coffee books.

I've got a new altar on which my shrine stands. I'll tkae a photo one of these days and put it up.

you inspire me, jon.

we got a new bench from Ikea ... my little old cart was getting a bit too wonky for comfort. Every thwack of the doser would make the lil cart creak and bend and moan ...

so I'll do this in detail, then reveal it all at the end.

I got sick of removing my cups, refilling my reservoir, then putting all the cups back. So I ran the lines from the pump and the OPV out from two holes behind the drip tray, into a 12L container.

I also got sick of emptying the drip tray every day ... a PITA with expobar office's.

Who would have thought that these mods would make refilling the reservoir and emptying the waste such a bigger job?!?!?

Not that I'm complaining:

And the finale: the wife-friendly coffee lab. Plenty of room left for her new mixmaster, and a whole other cupboard for all her stuff!

I cracked up reading this….almost fell out of my chair at work….too funny!

Looks like you have a pretty sweet setup yourself.

You’ve inspired me to one day do the same with my Anita.
