Thanks to all who provided me with valuable improvements for my Starbucks Barista espresso machine problems. I purchased a non-pressurized portafilter. I quickly discovered my new KitchenAid Proline grinder had to be used at the smallest setting to get the grind I needed to adequately slow my extraction time to twenty plus seconds. Apparently it won't grind fine enough for proper Turkish coffee. I made the adjustments for max fineness included in the grinder manual. I also bought an 8 oz. frothing pitcher instead of trying to use my 25 oz. so that I could get more microfoam with my under powered steam attachment. I'm nowhere near where I want to be yet, but thanks to some of you, I'm making progress. BETTER ESPRESSO, BETTER LIFE! YES?
