I'm looking for a store in Manhattan with a good selection of cups/saucers.  I've been to Macy's but there wasn't much, I've been to William-Sonoma (Columbus Circle) but espresso cups were very generic.

Any idea?

When I was there recently, Zabar's had a bunch of cups although nothing really like the ACF or Nuova Point types of heavier cups and saucers.  They had Bodum Paula cups and the Bodum double-wall type cups that I saw as well.  The only cafe that had heavy cups for sale was Cafe Grumpy and they were Nuova Point espresso cups with their logo on them.

You can find expensive cups like ILLY at BOUN ITALIA (spelling may be off) in Chelsea Market.   It's an Italian store inside a Chelsea Market - 9th ave and 15th.  They have like one or two cups in that store.  Also in Chelsea Market is BOWERY KITCHEN that has tons of cups (CHEAP!) and saucers.

MANHATTAN ESPRESSO CAFE near my job sells a few Illy cups.  Expensive (illy is expensive but you have to have one set).  They're on 49th between Lex and 3rd.  They're on the South side of 49th and hard to find (black awning).

FISHYS EDDY if they are still in business has cups.  You'll love this store.  Broadway and 19th (or one block east/west of broadway, definitely on 19th).

I had been using cheap cups from Fishs eddy until I discovered the Bodum cups mentioned above. They are heavier and better. As I no longer am a Manhattanite, I can't comment on the other stores but I'd go with the Bodums at Zabars. I did once buy an Olympia Cremina there. Good luck withy the crowd, worse than the subway at rush hour.

Hey, does anybody know when the Bodum store on 14th closed? I drove past the other day and didn't see it. Too bad, it was awesome.

To bring an update to this threat, I did visit the kitchen store in Chelsea but wasn't thrilled by their selection, plus the fact that I couldn't find a price sticker on their cups was a bit annoying.  BUT, I finally was able to find some inexpensive but great looking white cups in a kitchen store in Brooklyn on Atlantic Ave. near Henry St.  Great service too.
