I've posted this to alt.coffee, but thought I'd better add it to coffeegeek as well for those that don't do usenet.
Terry To, a young and eager coffee aficionado from Hong Kong, has sent me this link to photos of the recent China barista competition held in Shanghai, http://members.fortunecity.com/terryto/baristachina/ . The eventual winner is the young lady in photo 65; Terry is on her left (right of photo.) Watch out for the adware popup!
Terry was one of the competition judges; he has a commercial machine and grinder and Imex Digirosto 1500 in his standard Hong Kong apartment, which is probably smaller than the average American garage. His knowledge, skill and enthusiasm and willingness to contribute put a lot of more "experienced" people in the industry to shame.
