VJ, how high is the countertop for that machine? I'm putting mine on a table/bar, and debating between the standard 36'' or something higher ...

Espresso: La Pavoni Europiccola;...
Grinder: Baratza Vario
Drip: Bodum 3-cup press

So my refurbished Baratza Vario finally arrived, which means that my Europiccola (and my arm, sore from many a manual grind) has been redeemed.

As of now I'm narrowing out a decent fine-ness from it, and it dispenses the grinds in a very convenient pellet form! Not a fault of the grinder, I hope, and more the result of using fairly old-roast beans. It's a shame that I can't find any local roasters (all the more reason to begin home-roasting).

I'm thrilled though, the first shot has definitely exceeded the results of my crank grinder. The vintage EP and the Vario have basically been my dream setup since I started planning for all this.

Very nice setup man!  Do you know your cup tray Guard is backwards?  Or do you prefer to have it that way?

I tried it both ways and decided I like it backwards.  Good attention to detail though - you are the first to notice / comment.
