Well, I am going to the SCAA event in Portland in April.  What things should I see and do while there? And I officially love Baratza.

The floor will be a bling-fest that will lure you in like the Siren's call. But be sure to look through the educational opportunities as that is a potential area where you will get the greatest benefit.

I thought it would be fun to go to this, but not sure it's worth the $115 (and up) just to get on the floor.  From those who have been to this in years past, what's one to expect?  This is clearly geared toward industry folk, but is it worth the cost for John Q. Public just to see what's there?

I thought if nothing else I'd go to see the competitions ($10 for all three days).

This will be my 9th..
Check my website, in the "blog" section as I have a few reviews of past shows, based on my attendance, of course.
Mark has done some reviews as well, so search here on CG for those.
