hello all and good day, I need a little advice, I own a gaggia gd one whick up until yesterday was working perfect, however when i fired it up this morning it tripped the socket ring in my house. I cant get any further than the fuse tripping as soon as I turn the switch, any ideas?

Most likely a bad heating element, since it's generally the one component that can draw enough current to blow a fuse when shorted on most espresso machines. I believe most other components used have a tendency to blow out in an open state, though I could be wrong.

I was thinking the heating element as well, i know the smaller home machines e.g Francis x1 will definitely trip the fuse when the element has gone, will get a new element and start from there.....
