I would be happy to post a prize of beans or something, but sounds like I probably chose the wrong way to go about it judging by the responses. We have used online surveys etc I just thought I would like the opinion of people that live coffee...and this forum seemed a good place to start. Apologies for wasting your time and thanks alot anyway :)

Manny, this is a community (online, true, but a community nonetheless), and so I will tell you -- honestly -- that it feels rather strange when someone's first post is, in effect, "help me make a profit." It's certainly different that the typical first post of "help me make good espresso in my kitchen," or "let me introduce myself." Thus, my first response.
(If nothing else, there's a prohibition against commercial posts, and "Probationary Period: If you are a new signup for CoffeeGeek, you cannot promote, endorse, criticise or otherwise post an unsolicited endorsement for any company, product or service in your first five postings." This comes rather close, IMHO.)
No one has asked you to pack up your marbles and go home. No one is asking you that. If you want to stick around -- and, personally, I hope you do -- that would be great! I'm sure you have much to contribute. We could learn from you, and perhaps you could learn from us. But I would hope our little community would mean more to you than a convenient place to grab a "cute firm name" and then run off, never to be seen or heard of again . . .

I echo Jason's thoughts (and I'm sure most others here do as well).
The question is quite strange indeed, in that although not quite what you're asking, it feels like we'd be endorsing a product we've never seen. I might be more enthusiastic if some artisan roaster I've tried, whose product I would feel comfortable endorsing asked us for recommendations for a new name. I don't expect you to send everyone here some samples, but for all we know your roast can range anywhere from *$$-esque (or even worse) to something that must have been brought down from the heavens in a gold chariot. If your product is more like the former, my recommendation (actually it would be a very emphatic request) would be try another business, and I would feel very uncomfortable offering you suggestions that any product name would be appropriate (other than something derogatory like, oh, I don't know...how about " mother nature's swill"). However, if I could say with some degree of certainty that your product is more like that latter, I'd be very happy to "play along" and offer a vote. Up until this point, I've chosen to abstain.

If you are going to toss something like that out there you should expect a few tosses back. However, my answer was honest. I did not like any of your names and came up with something that sounded classier. If that makes you close your post and go home then you have a very thin skin to start a business.
