I just found out this is event is local to me in April. Any one got a spate guest pass going to waste?

Awesome idea, but unfortunately it is not that local to me.  If I lived where I could commute to the event every day that would be something to consider.

Do a Search for "Hostel" in the area. There is one within walking distance.

Looks like you can get a one day pass for $140. Nice chunk of change for sure but it's going to be very tempting. Let me know if you decide to go- I may just do so myself and we could maybe arrange to say hi :)

That would be cheaper than a weekend in a hotel.  I am a bit old for hostel but still a great idea!

My first year of doing the entire weekend I split a room with a fellow altie. Most folks (especially the young ones) don't spend much time in the room anyway!
