Until I dropped my Cremia's portafilter and my lightning reflexes quickly absorbed the impact with my foot... As Murphy's law has it, the sharpest part of the PF (the corner of one of the little "ears") landed on the weakest part of my foot. It landed right on the soft cuticle of my big toe. Now it's all purple and throbbing with a little blood blister forming (I'll spare you the gory photo lol).
But hey, the PF escape unscathed! :)))))) I have bare concrete floors (I live in an old factory). it would have been really bad. Close call.
Imagine if it was my HG One. I might be a few toes shy today LOL
Funny thing you mentioned it because it truly is Murphy Law at work when I think about, how it flew just far enough to miss the mat entirely. Still, the mat has saved countless items from damage over the years, including the blind tumbler that came with my HG One. Everyone should have one!
