I just wanted to give a shout out to Rob (IMAWriter) for having me over a few weeks ago.  I brought my Compak K10 WBC and Rob had his Strega and his grinders (Pharos and Forte).  He pulled some amazing shots.  We roasted some coffee and I learned a great deal about roasting and brewing.  Thank you, Rob, for your hospitality. If any of you find yourself in the Nashville, TN area and want some great shots of espresso I would shoot Rob an email to see if Cafe Robert Jason is open :)

Wow, I JUST saw this!
Blushing big time, sir. Awesome time spent with a fellow coffee geek. For all of us this is more than a hobby. This whole coffee thing is a celebration of good...and new... friends, experimentation, learning, enjoying.
Thanks much, David for your kind words, and even more for taking the time to visit "Cafe Jason."

While I live in Taiwan, home is (now) Louisville. So if the cafe is still open I'd like to make reservations in the future, but I don't know when that will be. I'm in for a long hot tour of duty here.

James, it would be a pleasure to have you here.
Speaking of Louisville, by now you've probably learned the correct pronunciation of that city (according to natives) requires you verbally use the letter "l" alt least 6 times...as in
Luh-ulll.-vullle...or something like that. ;>D

Just visited your site. Very impressive. I hope you have room for a Calrec Ambisonic microphone, though!

I will definitely look you up if/when I ever get back. I'd love to do some espresso and soak up some tunes at the same time!

Yesterday I was spinning some Dire Straits, Lobos, and Doobie Brothers. I haven't been able to get much exposure to new music here. The music scene in Taiwan is a train wreck. Discovered Gangstagrass, though. Pretty interesting stuff. Techno-- throws me. I prefer a melody somewhere in the mix.

Aloha,

James
