Craig,
Not sure what exactly the jars are. There are different size available in my local store. The key feature of these jars is that the top cover is a 2-pieces unit, a top plate & a cover ring.

MIne are like Craig's black ones, but they are completely clear glass. For some reason, the thought of putting coffee in those containers seemed bad and hence, I posted this thread. I'll take a picture later 2nite and post it up.

Thanks guys! Yeah, like Larry's saying, they're always around & plentiful in the canning season, & like Kevin's ones for jams, marmalade & conserves/compotes.
I love the "POP" sound & that awsome aroma when cracking the screw band! {:-D

I just keep them in little stainless steel containers with an air-tight lid. The lid has a plastic portal, so a little light does get in unfortunately. I think I have an affinity for steel, because my entire setup looks like some monument to the development of metallurgy or something :-)

Exact same ones!
I'm going to need a different solution once I start getting heavier into roasting/blending, but for the moment they suit my aesthetic and functional tastes :-)
Does it really matter if some light gets in? I have clear ones (look above at my post), so if light getting in matters, then its on to something else!!
