I noticed in cleaning out both my Super Jolly and Mazzer Mini that the burr housing is identical between the 2 models. I wonder if the SJ 64mm burrs can be screwed into the Mini, especially since the Mini Electronic comes with them. I'm willing to try this weekend but I have no idea how to remove the burrs from the bottom of the Mini. Or if someone has already tried this, it would save me some time :0)

You most certainly can, you just need to pull the lower burr carrier from the motor shaft on the mini. The SJ carrier will then drop right in. The upper carrier is identical, no issues there...
Then you will wind up with the dilemma that I came to some weeks ago, you have just created a Super Jolly with a smaller motor... {:^||

My burning question is:
I hear the ceramic burrs for the La Morzocco Swift are 64mm too. Can't find any hard information on the burrs though, so I'm reluctant to drop big bucks on a set. Anyone have any info??

Actually I didn't try it, the burrs on my tagex SJ are well past usable sharpness (I feel sorry for the saps that got shots from that grinder). But I did pull the burr carriers and whatnot, that's when I noticed you could easily do a swap and have the bigger burrs in a mini. For those that have a mini, I suppose it could be a viable upgrade (read: ceramic burrs might be an option for a mini).
First I need to get some high-tech teflon grease and repack the SJ's bearings, then I need to figure out if the ceramic burrs will work. For the price I got the SJ for, I'm willing to put crazy expensive burrs in it {:^o

I hope you read this before you try prying it off. I don't want to see you damage the lower burr carrier.
Getting the lower burr carrier off is tricky because of the tight fit on the motor shaft. You need to pull the carrier directly up and with a decent amount of force. There are pulley pullers commonly used to remove belt pulleys, steering wheels and such from shafts. They won't fit the mazzer; but if you can do some basic metalwork (or know someone that can), a puller can be easily made from a metal disk with a tapped hole in the center.
Picture a disc that has a threaded hole in the center (smaller than the big M8 metric bolt that holds the carrier on) and three holes that match the burr mounting holes. You bolt this disc to the burr carrier with long M4 metric screws (about an inch). Then you screw a smaller bolt (I used an M6) down through the center of the disc until it hits the bottom of the motor shaft. Then as you tighten it, it pushes the metal disc away from the motor shaft and pulls the lower burr carrier up along with it.
I made one for my grinder and will post a photo tomorrow. A picture is worth a thousand words; and it feels like I just did. I hope it makes some sense for you.
