I've been looking upgrade my Capresso infinity to something a little more robust. I've been shopping Craigslist and and eBay and came across this grinder. The current owner says there is no make or model on it.
He originally listed it for $200 and I've talked him down to $150.
The questions are: 1) What make/model grinder is this? 2) Is it worth $150?

Well, I'm not qualified to take on a Senior member like JmanEspresso... you should probably go with his determination.
However except for the hopper which is very different it looks like a Gaggia grinder - sorry, don't know the model - that I owned for about seven years. Maybe Jman knows if Rossi & Gaggia were sleeping together at some point.
If it *IS* the same or similar machine then it has a huge 3/4 horsepower motor, a coarsely-stepped grind adjustment, and a pretty awful doser that is predictable only in its unpredictability, especially if you don't have a lot of ground coffee in the doser. And if you're thinking of removing the doser, the grinding results are pretty clumpy. But it will go on doing a not-great job for a very long time, it's built like a tank. If that's worth $150 to you then go for it!
