Are the Baratza and Mahlkonig the same machine? They both seem to have the same spec and look identical other than the branding. I'm looking to get a new machine and grinder and when I buy in a package I can get the Mahlkonig for less than £200 compared to the Baratza that is £350.

The Baratza Vario is sold as the Mahlkönig VARIO Home within the EU. They are the same grinder, except for voltage requirements. However, Mahlkönig also has its "own" Vario -- the Mahlkönig K30 Vario, which is designed as a "HORECA" (HOtel-REstaurant-CAfé) grinder, but which can be found in several homes as well . . . .
