Thanks, Eric and IMAWriter.  I was hoping there was a clear cut budget grinder winner but it seems there isn't.  If the Tranquillo has enough steps then I think that's where I'm headed now.  Of course I will need two grinders so maybe I'll end up with a Preciso later.

Should the difference between the 40mm conical burrs in the Preciso and the 60mm flat burrs of the Tranquillo be of any concern to me?  I keep hearing about different taste profiles between the different burr types and conical burrs seem to be the preferred over flat right now.
