10 minutes of forum searching didn't yield a response, so maybe it's time to post.

I've got the doserless version of the Ascaso I2. In between the chute and the grinder body, there is a foam gasket that is more or less useless. I'm wondering whether anyone else has replaced this and if so, what did you use? (I can't find the replacement on any of the usual parts sites.)

I'd not worry about it, except that grinds are falling into the body of the grinder through the gap the flimsy gasket leaves.

I can post pictures if no one has any idea what I'm talking about, but hopefully someone has been through the same problem and can just answer.

Thanks!

You may not find that particular gasket at parts houses, possibly even from the maker but they should have them. You can sub in basically any foam you can find. I would look at the big box hardware store for door/window gasket material. I think you can get it in 1/8" thickness. Just cut, peal, stick and you are done.

All you need is something that will compress. How about denim from an old pair of pants? Cut to shape, a little double sided tape and use as a gasket. Whatever is thick enough to fill the space and will conform to the shape and surfaces will work.
