The Silvano arrived a few hours ago and I already took it for a test spin. I'm having trouble getting the Rocky to grind fine enough to pull a quality shot. The Rocky seems to not want to turn past the 6 setting (I've not needed this fine a grind for my old Gaggia) and that is right at the spot that the Silvano seems to need. Hmmm ... The Baratzas (Vario and Preciso) are calling me. Still thinking ...
I would still wait based on my own experience while getting to know my Silvano.
Pick up a couple different fresh roasted beans and experiment a bit. It took me a couple sessions to dial in my grinders as well as the pressure on the Silvano before everything started coming together. I see pictures on 1st Line showing powder from the Rocky - it should grind fine enough for espresso.
