Yes, by parboiled I was referring to the partially cooked dry rice like Minute Rice. (Using stuff straight out of a cook pot would likely be interesting but not very productive!)

It's interesting to hear your positive experience with using ordinary, raw rice, but you might want to check out this discussion of the topic, just to get the full perspective. (And note the general confusion about "partially cooked"):
