Hi, been working on this for the past week, looks in pretty good shape, shaft looks tight, doser has minimum use, hooper looks pretty new, switch has minimum wear, motor doesn't make unusual noises, ordered new burrs and still cleaning it up, and for sure it needs a new paint job on the lower part, so i might do the whole thing, anyways, i was stripping down the doser, 2 problems, problem one, a pin keeps me from removing the brass gear and this link http://monkeyfaq.com/mazzer/doser.html says i can get it out from the bottom side, but not this one because theres no access hole there, second problem, not sure what the silver gear does, but it was missing, just a small thin bolt there waiting for the gear, so what does that gear really do? anybody that had one apart should be able to see what it really does, please let me know.
