Posted Sun Jun 3, 2012, 6:59pm Subject: Ibertial Challenge vs Baratza Preciso HELP!!
OK I have narrowed my new grinder down to either the Ibertial Challenge or the Baratza Preciso. I have seen countless posts where the CS for Baratza is outstanding, this is a big plus. However I like the look of the Ibertial Challenge doserless chrome, kinda has that appealing industrial look. The price for a refurbished Preciso is the same as the new Ibertial. I have searched high and low but the only one im seeing info on is the Preciso. Does this mean the Ibertial isnt a popular choice or is it because its inferior? I would love to hear from someone that owns or has used/seen the Ibertial. It seems I have read 10,000 pages on grinders in the Rocky range and my head is spinning!!!
The chrome model sounds much nicer - if it was me buying I would call before ordering to insure they shipped me the quiet version. I like the Preciso better (I have a LaPavoni with similar burrs and motor to the Iberital Challenge) since it is neater and retains less grounds. Neither are a bad choice though.
I chew coffee beans with my teeth while gargling with 195 F water to enjoy coffee. What is this "coffee brewing" device you speak of?
