hi Will the Baratza Encore work with a Gaggia Coffee or similar machine? How about with an Isomac E61 or Quickmill Vetrano? I am looking for a grinder for a set up in a shore house, and it will only get intermittent use, probably with the Gaggia. thanks Alan
Even though both grinders will grind fine enough for espresso, actually neither will work well for that purpose, simply because both only have 40 settings that range from espresso to French press. Therefore the steps between settings are relatively wide, which can lead to problems when you try to dial in the grinder. It's not uncomon to get stuk in between two steps for proper extraction. You can overcome that problem by changing your dose, but a change of 0.2 g can already influence taste.
Save money for a Preciso is my advise. It has 440 settings, which makes it virtually stepless.
