Hi all I am about to receive a new mazzer mini. I read on a forum somewhere about seasoning the grinder first. Does anyone have any input regarding this?. Regards Noel

The only thing that comes to my mind is that it usually takes a few pounds of beans before a new grinder (or a new set of burrs) achieves better consistency and phenomena like clumping get less.

I think you want to run a few ounces through it to clear out any factory oils, and you can use cheaper quality beans for that. Other than that, you're continued use will "condition" the burrs...that's my understanding at least.
