I've been looking to buy a conical bite grinder for awhile but the pricetag has been putting me off. Use for aeropress and French press mostly. Alternatively I was going to wait and buy a refurbished grinder from baratza for a little more plus patience.

As long as it's in decent shape- not beaten up or such- I'd jump on it! I've purchased 2 refurbed Maestro plus from Baratza. One used off and on for work, the other used by my cousin daily. While I can't actually speak for the Aeropress use- I'm really not sure how picky it is about the grind or even what grind it uses. I know that's a great deal on a good grinder.

Thanks, my only hesitation is that its from Craigslist and not baratza so it won't come refurbished with any replaced parts. I think I remember that the plus was the first to include the new motor and features, cam you confirm?

Not sure about the new motor and features but it was the "next step" for the Maestro. Baratza has great customer support and parts are still available. If it appears to be in good shape I wouldn't worry.

This has been our morning coffee (not espresso) grinder for over 10 years. Have only changed burs occasionally. I give it very high marks. But I am looking to upgrade :) Mike

There is no way I would buy a used maestro. You can get a brand new Capresso infinity for $69.00 here.

I have owned and used both. In my opinion the Capresso is better than the maestro. The Capresso has a more stable burr assembly than the maestro. And makes fewer fines.

I'm sorry I had a senior moment..I do not have experience with the Maestro plus. I still would prefer a new capresso infinity for less money than used Maestro plus.
