I've been using my Mazzer Mini for quite some time now, at least three months. It came up in a thread that someone else using a Mahlkonig K30 Vario gets extremely consistent shots, down to 0.05 grams, whereas my Mazzer is off by as much as 1.5 grams.
For example, With an 18.10 second grind using the double button, It grinds 16.2 grams, then 14.9 grams a second time, then 15.4 a third time, without changing the grind or time setting.
Is this normal for this grinder or is it just the coffee that I'm using? I'm working through a batch of Peter's Blend from Cappuccino King.
Also, I usually run a cap full of grindz through it whenever I switch blends, then grind a double and toss it, just to flush it out.
FYI, I'm using a Digiweigh DWP-1001 scale. (Great scale, but I wish I could turn off the auto-off "feature", since I use it with an A/C adapter.)
Garbage In, Garbage Out, for every step of the process. From Beans to grinder, grounds to machine, coffee to cup.
