What do you have for a recommendation as far as excellent grinder choices for limited counter height? The space available in my present situation is only 17 inches, therefore a lot of the typical picks would not really fit.

Looking forward to your suggestions. Thanks!

If you don't mind single-dosing the grinder, you can run almost any grinder without a hopper under 17 inches. My Macap is only 13 inches and fits great under the cabinets.

this post will be helpful in that regard.

The Vario is always a great choice. Or for drip the Preciso.

Baratza Vario would easily fit & would likely be the #1 pick for its size.  Rancilio Rocky or Lelit PL53, would be cheaper options.

Mazzer Mini & Compak K3 would barely fit with the short hoppers on. Those & many others (including some huge commercial grinders) would fit if you take the hopper off & single dose.

There's a list of grinder dimensions a few pages back here on the CG grinder section.
