Espresso: Gaggia Classic Grinder: Baratza Vario

I've seen all the videos showing how to calibrate the Baratza Vario, but now it's hopelessly out of whack and I need some help. For a year I had it calibrated perfectly and was getting wonderful crema, but after a thorough cleaning recently, I messed it up and can't get the right grind for espresso. I have always started calibrating with the macro on the top and the micro in the middle and then turned the tool clockwise in the finer direction until I heard the grinder laboring. This system is not working now. I keep getting a soupy coffee even if I place the macro to the very top. Can anyone help? Kim

I have had some issues with a brand new Vario changing settings on it’s own and was told to call them and they will provide shims. Perhaps in cleaning you damaged the shims so I pass along the advice…call them.
