I've just modded my Macap to stepless. Since it's not the greatest single dose grinder considering it's huge didn't surprise me. I used to use it for all grinds when stepped but dialing back into espresso can be a pain. Right now I'm using my modded Skerton for drip and press now. I do have a Grindmaster 875 but it's way too big for single dosing.. Does anybody know of a good burr grinder with 10-40 steps ideal for drip and press only under $100?

ok, well, not that it meets your parameters, but have you considered getting an OE Lido when the new version comes out? The old version is simply awesome for non-espresso, and it's very portable, so you can use it with an Aeropress when you travel. To me, the quality is worth the added cost, and although it's stepless, it's super easy to adjust between drip and press.
. Always remember the most important thing is what ends up in your cup!
Pretty hard to beat the Encore @ the $100 price point. Should be perfect for anything between med fine pour over to coarse press grinding. the Barataz conical grinders I have (Maestro, Maestro plus, and Preciso) seem to put a few fines into the press range but not enough to make me want to use anything else.
