I have seen several threads in the past on various forums discussing upgrading the Mazzer Mini burrs to the larger set that ships with the Mazzer Super Jolly. What’s not clear is which version of the Mini is being discussed, looking at the specs I see the following:
Mini with Doser – 58mm burrs Mini Mod A & B – 64mm burrs Super Jolly – 64mm burrs
Is there a difference between the burr set that ships with the Mini Mod A&B and the Super Jolly?
Dave that's simply not true. OP, do your research and you'll find most agree that SJ burrs in a Mini E is a simple, worthwhile upgrade with no perceivable effect on the motor under use in a home setting.

I changed to Super Jolly burrs in my Mini E type A about a year ago. The grind time has fallen by about 40%... that's the main benefit as I don't see a significant change in the quality of the espresso. Nevertheless it is a cheap and easy mod.

Just bought a Mazzer Mini doser with the 58mm burrs. If I wanted to use the 64mm burrs from the Mini electronic doserless model, will they fit on the burr carriers in my Mini doser? I saw a parts schematic of the Mazzer Mini models and although the part numbers of the burrs were distinctly different for the doser/electronic models, the burr carriers seemed to be the same. Can I assume then that I could just drop in the 64mm burrs from the Mini doserless model into my machine with no modification of the burr carriers? Has anyone done this? Does it make sense to do this for faster grinding speed?
I have seen the posts about those who swap the 64mm from the Mini doserless for the 64mm Super Jolly burrs, but this involved drilling new holes in the burr carriers and some have suggested that it may put undue strain on the 250 watt motor of the Mini. Would it not make more sense to drop in the 64mm Mini doserless burrs into the doser version to make for faster grinding speed?(If they fit, that is)
