I bought this ellimatic used about 2 weeks ago and am enjoying it much! it seems like its from the early 90's maybe late 80's but im not positive. I have made some decent foam with the tip that is on it right now but nothing like I have had at the local coffee shop that does awesome latte art. The current tip has 4 larger holes and a flat bottom. It steams 8 oz of milk in 8 seconds so needless to say I think its steaming to fast to get enough time to stretch the milk. Does anyone have any suggestions? (there are male threads on the wand and female threads on the inside of the steam tip.

It is hard to control that much steam power. It heats so fast you feel you have no control. Just learn to do less than you think and start with cold milk in a cold pitcher. Practice with water and the tiniest drop of dish soap will help. There are lots of good videos.

Thanks! I plugged (with tiny screws) two of my 4 holes in my steam tip. This helped GREATLY in slowing down the process and increasing the velocity of my steam. I can now produce some milk with great texture. I was hoping for a little less "ghetto rigged" solution but hey, it works right?
