I've never made it a big priority to learn latte art but I've always hoped if I keep trudging along I'd get it some day. Recent months I've been getting fairly consistent milk and just trying to train my rather unsteady hand to make the moves. This doesn't look like much compared to what I see on here but dang it I'm kinda proud of it and wanted to share- best I've ever done, just this afternoon.

I was doing it pretty for a while, 2-4 small drinks a day and getting descent art more often than not. Then took a new job with earlier hours so have not had the time to do it daily for a month. Also, weekdays, I am steaming a larger volume milk and not caring about the foam to make a larger "to go" drink and as a result I am now not in the groove anymore. :( Art has suffered.
Lesson: Changing volumes of milk is hard to get consistently good microfoam.
Buying advice: GRINDER GRINDER GRINDER. Don't cheap out on the grinder.
