My Prestina gave out last year, apparently due to the very hard water here in West Texas. I have managed to get some of the seals and gaskets, but still need some more. I would also like to get a diagram/schematic of the machine, as I about to launch out on a rebuild. Can anyone give me advice on where to get more parts and information? I know some of you have rebuilt one, but I can't manage to get your private email address to ask you directly. If you would like to do your part to serve humanity by helping me spread the joy of espresso from a beautiful machine, please will you chime in?
The thread of my ongoing rebuild is here: Conti Prestina Restoration. I have yet to try mine but it seems you've really liked yours. Allann Brothers used to sell them.
Doug and Barb Garrott of Orphan Espresso are also familiar with these machines and have restored one and provide some parts.
