Subject: FIORENZATO Piazza San Marco need help

Hi we are servicing this machine which is nearly an orphan machine in the United States due to Fiorenzato chaos and no parts availability.  Anyway, this is a lovely two group lever machine, quite impressive and well made but there is an accumulation of brass metal shavings under the group levers in the mechanism there and we would like to know what this IS or what it MEANS.  Also, steam valves seem corroded on one side and move with a grinding action, has anyone rebuilt these?   Cheers!
