Yes I would rather do it myself...i've done the rest of the machine and enjoyed doing it. The fix that may happen would be done, as a favour, by the repair guy of a shop i've done business with in the past. He will only be fixing the broken fitting on one end of the tube. I totally agree with your point about learning the machine by doing the work yourself. I feel a much closer connection to the Cremina than to any other machine i've used.

Still no resolution...i might be wasting my time. I may ask Doug at OE to make me one although they don't seem to answer e-mail....busy I expect. I am tempted to make my own. The parts cost little but the bending tools, propane torch and etc. would be a bit spendy. Frustration is setting in.

What's actually wrong with the tube Ron? I did read that you said it's a fitting only on one end (is it like a 45° flared brass terminating end piece, flat disc type?) that's not sealing properly into its respective termination fitting or what else please?

The device has a compression fitting on the valve end and it is fine. The boiler end is a flat fitting like a washer fixed to the tube and had a copper crush washer. Due to shipping violence this flat fitting is broken off the tube.
