10 days to get the plumber and electrician to complete the hook up,
and finally, I get to pull the first shot

Here's a few clips

Cup Warmer - Click Here (www.youtube.com)

I'll be posting more clips of different aspects of this machine over time.

Joe - Thank you for the videos. The machine is beautiful! I especially like the old school steam cup tray warmer. That just puts the machine over the top for me. What a machine! I will be ordering my demo machine in the next 2 weeks. I cannot wait!

What a dream machine and glad to hear it was worth the wait. If it's anything like my Aurora and newly acquired Elektra A3 I suspect the upgrade bug will not be biting anytime soon:-).

Enjoy!

Joe!

Very nice Bosco 2grp.  Did you consider the single group?  Does the 1 Group have the same build quality and features as the 2 Group?

I am considering selling my LM GS/3 MP in favor of something more "hands on".

Enjoyed the videos. I asked perhaps a dumb question on your YouTube page. Does Bosco make a 1 group? I was curious why you went for a 2 group.

Edit...sorry Stephen, missed your post.

No problem!  The 1 Group is being sold by Orphan Espresso.  Since I have never pulled a lever machine, let along a commercial 58mm one, I asked OE if there was one in our area where I might get to see it in action and perhaps cajole my way into pulling a shot.  Apparently there is a 3 Group in Seattle.

One of the Caffé Vita locations (Fremont, IIRC) has a FIVE group Bosco . . . .

I knew they had one but was not sure which shop.  Thanks for the tip!  I have to be in that area next week so I will check it out :-)

I got to try a 3 Group Bosco @ Cafe' Vita (actually at Via Tribunali next door) on Pike in Seattle while I was there yesterday.  As I was walking between Cafe' Vita and Via Tribunali I spotted a single Group Bosco in another location that was associated with Cafe' Vita.

Pretty easy to pull a shot with maybe a 25 lb force required.  I got to test the height advantage/disadvantage of a lower counter height by using a step-stool to simulate lowering the counter and if the machine was at the lower (read standard kitchen) height the pull force was more noticeable; more like doing a curl than pulling straight down with body weight working in your favor.

I liked the simplicity of the machine, although it could have benefited from some sort of back lighting of the sight glass.

Now to convince the Mrs. that we NEED another machine :-)

There seem to be quite a few BOSCO machines around Seattle ... Hitchcock restaurant on Bainbridge Island has a single group at the bar, and their deli next door has a two-grouper.
