My Italian isn't great but isn't pompa rotario a rotary pump? Is this QuickMill making a scaled up Strega?

Posted September 20, 2012 link The machine does remind me of the Bezzera Strega, exept that it has a rotary instead of a vibration pump. I suppose that the pump regulates the water level of the boiler and fills the brew group providing a pre-infusion, at least that's how the Strega works after all. The video on Home-Barista.com that Javier linked shows that the machine is obviously a spring lever.

Yes, it is a spring machine. It does not use the pump to fill the group head, as the Strega does. It only uses the pump to fill the boiler. Some may say that using a rotary pump to fill the boiler is overkill, but it is wonderfully quiet. CCS is supposed to have these coming from Italy next week :-) The QM site actually shows where they fit the tank into this machine. Is flexing of the cabinet face and grouphead something to worry about???

Posted November 10, 2012 link As an update, I got a chance to try pulling a shot on a Bosco machine yesterday, which has the same Group, and found it fairly easy to do. Now if I can wrap my head around the flexing of the Group Head on the main body of the machine.... The Bosco did that too!
