About to finish fixing my per-Melinnium Pavoni Pro, but need info on the resettable thermal safety switch: It fits loosely into the hole under the brass plate that the element is on, but upon applying pressure, it seems it will then fit snugly. Is this the way it was designed to stay put? There is no no other way to fasten it on. The old one I removed also had no bracket to hold it in.
Secondly, I seem to have lost the nylon/plastic washer that comes with the switch, surrounding the button - is it necessary for the proper function of the safety switch? And if it is, how does it stay on, since in rests on the switch while it is upside down?
the safety thermostat will need to have contact in order to read temp correctly some thermal paste is also suggested between the 2 parts not sure what you referring to in regards of the nylon perhaps the safety switch protection cover cover? if so well is not functional is a safety for the safety for the safety................
