Notes: -Cadmium-coated steel piston springs were replaced with stainless units, to prevent rust particles from causing abrasive wear to the pistons, seals and liners. -Single-throw switch was replaced with double-throw switch to provide a heat-off autofill for initial filling. -Additional steam knob shims were added to provide 1/8 turn freeplay before wand activation, to reduce wear. Stainless washers and cotter pin were used. -Do not flip and re-use black rubber bibb seals used in the steam valve flutes and expansion valve. Use the red silicone seals as a replacement. -Check valves can be rebuilt using the green nylon check inserts available from Ascaso or LF. Note correct orientation during assembly and final installation. -Lubricate the piston seals with a light coating of Molykote 111 on a quarterly basis by removing the four allen bolts and lifting the group out, to prevent early piston seal failure. -Arduino boilers are a HX design with no injector. This means that pre-infusion pressure is the same as mains water pressure, and can be fine-tuned to your preference by utilizing a line pressure control device in the water inlet.
