But not in the way you might think...

This is one sexy machine, but I thought it needed that certain...je ne sais quoi.

And now it's super-sexy :)

The wood is bocote.  I haven't put any finish on them yet, but I wanted to test the fit and couldn't resist snapping a few pictures.

Once I figure out a good way to mount the handles for the steam and water knobs I'll be replacing those, too.

Cool.  Are you going to organise a matching tamper and knockbox, too?

what a nice touch, well done.
I really do like my vetrano (as is), about 6 months old now.
pairs up nicely with my mazer mini grinder.
I can't say enough about chriscoffee.com, the very best supplier imo.
I am not associated with chris coffee, just a proud customer.
again, anice mod to your machine.

Well, I like my Grindenstein too much to dump it as a knockbox, but I did turn a tamper from Texas mesquite.  It's a nice coffee colored wood :)

Fantastic.  Wish I had that talent.  The wood on the Elektra almost conviced me to get that rather than the Vetrano.

Do you think the steam and water knobs can be replaced as well?

Thanks!  Yes, but I'll have to either destroy my existing ones or order a pair to ruin.

The design of the steam/water valves requires a 2-piece design, so it'd be a lot easier if I could re-use the brass insert in the existing knobs.

Very nice, I just received my Vetrano last week. That is something I'm considering as well. My birthday is coming up. Hint Hint. Just kidding!
