Short answer: yes.

So are you saying I should be able to pull a ristretto shot with a triple basket at 11+ bar? Have you tried it? I'm not saying its impossible, but my 'mano' is not up to the task.

Triple basket Ristretto at 11+ bar has all the intensity knobs turned up beyond fully.  Coffees I use would just rip your mouth out here.
Set your OPV to around 9 bar for normal double, then start over to dial in the coffee with normal doubles at 9 bar 14-17gram dose range. If you haven't replaced the standard Silvia double basket, do so.

Frost, thanks for your weigh in.  This is exactly my intention and why I made this thread.  I was looking for instructions for how to go about doing this adjustment; build pressure meter, etc.  I think I have a plan organized.  Thanks all.
