I've got an Estro Vapore that's been working fine for weeks now since I bought it used. I've been using the temperature surfing trick to get good, consistent steam and for a couple of weeks I was getting effortless microfoam every time.
However, recently I've been getting really bad steam which pulses and sputters and ruins my milk, either coming out too weak or too strong. When I listen to the boiler fill between steam cycles, I can hear a soft, intermittent hissing and at one point the group head gave a soft *pop* noise. Also, the return hose, which I assume carries excess water to the boiler has some standing water in it which doesn't budge no matter what the pump or boiler is doing. Is this normal? Or is this my problem? I'd appreciate some advice, as I really want to get this machine working again. Any ideas?
