OK, Moderator, I am willing to get dinged for cross-posting, but this is not identical to my other post:
I posed this question, with more detail in the Linea owners forum (please see), but I think there is not enough experienced traffic there anymore to get me a useful answer. What is the value of the unit for parts if the internal, functional condition is unknown?

That is a very hard question to answer. To most people, nothing. If you have a ready outlet for selling parts and are known as selling parts, then that is a different subject. If you are asking what a machine is worth as scrap value to a junk yard, I would guess $20 or $30.
Most people looking for parts are looking for new parts unless the machine is out of production and the parts supply is drying up, then if that is true, most would be scrapping the machine themselves as if it is a business, they need to count on that machine and if they can't count on it, then it is only taking up space and worth nothing, or less, to them.
As for me, taking a risk on a non functioning machine for personal use I would not spend more than about $100 if I think I can do something with it, otherwise it will just be taking up space in MY shop.

I can play the guessing game:
Like new body panels and other non-mechanical and non-electrical parts, maybe 75% of new. Mechanical parts - 50-60% of new (group parts, boiler, etc.) Electrical - not more than 50% of new If you offer a warranty for the parts, those prices may be a bit higher.
The greatest value would be to you if you already own that machine and can use the parts.
