I've got an '08 Expobar Office Lever which does not have a brew pressure gauge (only a boiler pressure gauge). I noticed the newer Levers have a brew pressure gauge. Is it possible to retrofit this onto my older Lever?

When I saw the word "Lever" I pictured a very different machine. Apparently I don't know what a lever machine is, if this Expobar Office Lever is what coffeegeek is referring to as a "lever machine".. But anyway, yes. That is what I would call an E61 type vertical boiler HE machine. The choice for adding a brew-pressure gauge comes down to what holes you want to drill, and where. You could drill a small hole for an indicator light to show when the element is on and replace the boiler pressure gauge with the brew pressure gauge. You could go without an indicator light and do the same thing, with no indication of boiler pressure. You could drill a second big hole to mount a second gauge in and go with two separate gauges. Or, you could replace the existing boiler gauge with a dual-gauge, this is particularly good if you find a gauge to fit the existing hole. When teeing in the line between your new gauge and the brew-circuit, the closer you are to the Heat Exchanger inlet and the further from the pump, the better. The vibration pump will make the reading unstable closer to the pump. It should be possible using fittings and flexible copper tubing common to the expobar machines born with the second gauge.
Alternatively, it is possible that a machine with the two gauges is available used for barely more than you can sell your single-gauge one for. Might be better than customizing a machine. Many people think customizations ruin a machine, even if they work.
