Just doing a final check-in on this thread to close it out for anyone who has similar problems.
I installed the new SSR from Auber and everything works great. The machine is once again pulling great shots. I took this downtime to replace the burrs in Rocky, disassemble Silvia, clean and descale everything. I replaced the group head gasket, the brew screen, and the water hose, so this V1 Silvia is essentially a PID'd V3 (upgraded overpressure valve and steam wand/valve previously).
I've still decided to upgrade, but now I have a great combo to hold me over until my new machine and grinder arrive, plus a great combo to sell after the upgrade.
