btw i've pretty much given up on the stock 4 tip oscar tip.  i think the steam shoots out at too much of an angle and it preventing me from getting any kind of swirl.  ive been playing with the 2 hole tip and 4 hole pasquini tip offered by chris coffee.  im able to get better results but im still not completely satisfied.   the 2 hole is actually very easy to work with but it takes a bit longer.  the pasquini is ridiculously powerful as the holes are really large.   i am able to steam cap milk in about 4-5 seconds with that one. tough to control it but it's kinda fun.

i think im gonna look for a 3 hole tip...

I was thinking that the other steam wand might be longer and I would not care if I had to put a cup under it to have it be longer.  Then I would use that steam tip.

While the Aurelia wand will fit the steam body, it's ID is larger than the Oscar's OD. The Aurelia wand is 10 mm OD and would need a new bend to clear the outside of the drip tray. Difference in length approximately 30 mm tip to tip.
The Aurelia steam tip is male threaded 8.65 X.75 mm  5.5mm ID
The Oscar steam tip is female threaded 1/8 BSPP  9mm ID

NS #07300246 union 1/8 female M8.65 x 75 ss will put the Aurelia tip on the Oscar wand and be about 20mm shorter than the Aurelia wand = 20 mm longer than stock Oscar

Thanks for the idea of how to make it longer.  The brass is showing on the wand and I am trying to justify replacing it because the former owners beat the hell out of it and cleaned the chrome off the tip.

The steam leaver mod is wonderful.  I just did three lovely and easy micro foams the pours sucked. The ease control of the steam instead of worrying about spinning a knob made it much easier to get the surf and spins needed for micro foam.  Lots of times I would have a nice foam and while trying to turn it off I got a big splat of bubbles at the end by not holding the pitcher still while struggling with the knob so the tip got to the surface and made a mess of it.

It is not perfect but much better and easier than I thought it would be first time out.  It settled a bit before I got the camera.  In my vintage diner cup from the 60's.  They have nice curved bottoms, they hold the heat but still have a thin lip, almost indestructible and hold about 7 oz perfectly.
