Posted Fri Mar 1, 2013, 11:14am Subject: Gaggia Classic Rancilio Silvia wand mod.. which version?
From my reading, it appears there is a version of the wand that requires no sanding/bending. Basically, just unscrew the current gaggia wand and replace with the Silvia wand using the gaggia nut.
Is this true? if so, which version allows for this
I found that the rubber O ring, #50, of the Gaggia stayed up in the tube, so I only needed the wand, no rings. It is an O ring seal, not overly tight. Some people have had to bend the old Gaggia wand to get that nut off, I did not.

You can replace the whole valve portion, but a different valve and positioning. With a lathe, or finding proper adapters (not very likely) you can do it easily. I have the V1 and may go to V3, but I have a friend with a lathe to make or adapt the part. Last few pages of the above thread.
