I need new insulation for around my Oscar's boiler. I'm going for ease of installation and want to avoid the black body glove the new ones come with. Anything good from the hardware store or McMaster Carr?

I would suggest magic eraser sponge/pads made from melamine foam. Usually they come precut to small blocks but I've found some long enough to wrap around the boiler. It's cheap, very easy to cut and much cleaner than fiber insulation or HVAC insulation foam.
