im really happy with the grinder, now i can see how much difference it makes to own one when making espresso!!!

does anyone else find that different beans require different grind adjustment?

Hi Oli

Looks like a sweeeet setup!  I do notice that older beans and decaf beans need to groud finer to get "golden rule" shots (2 oz. in 25 seconds).  Good luck!

Hi Oli,

that's a nice setup, and one that you don't see on every corner. Congratulations, it's beautiful.

does anyone else find that different beans require different grind adjustment?

definitely. Even different batches of the same blend require some re-adjustment. And when you get really fresh coffee beans, you'll find that you have to go gradually finer from day to day, as the beans age. I found this effect to be most pronounced during the first days after roasting. On a stepped grinder, the steps may sometimes be too large, but then you could still adapt your dosing/tamping a little bit.

Enjoy your Brugnettis,

Bernhard

Simona + Bregant. That is the identical combo that friends of mine have (except theirs is the auto) - I hope you use better beans than they do, though :-p

Even the same beans will need different grind, depending on how fresh they are.
